We are looking for a motivated and experienced Government Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic team . This role will focus on identifying and driving new business opportunities within the government and civilian construction sector, fostering relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that align with our mission and vision.
Job Summary:
As a Government/Civilian Business Development specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing new business opportunities with federal, state, and local government agencies. This role requires a deep understanding of government contracting processes, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving growth in the public sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development: Identify and pursue new government/civilian contracts and procurement opportunities. Lead the development of proposals and bids for government/civilian projects.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with government and civilian agencies, key decision-makers, and industry influencers. Serve as the primary point of contact for government and civilian clients.
Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in government and civilian sectors. Stay up-to-date on changes in government policies and regulations.
Proposal & Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive proposals and engage in contract negotiations with government and civilian entities.
Networking & Representation: Represent Argent Construction Group at government-related conferences, events, and networking opportunities to increase visibility and build the company’s reputation in the public sector.
Compliance & Regulations: Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and standards, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other relevant policies.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on business development progress, project pipelines, and market trends.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in business development within the government sector (federal, state, or local government).
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, FAR, and other relevant regulations.
Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Education: Associates degree in Business Administration, Government Affairs, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Technical Proficiency: Proficient with government contracting software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with the government.
Established network of government contacts and stakeholders.
Proven track record of successfully winning government contracts.

Job Summary:
The Clerical Clerk will provide essential administrative support, including filing, data entry, answering phones, and assisting with various office tasks. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Filing & Document Management: Organize and maintain both physical and electronic files, ensuring accurate and accessible record-keeping.
- Data Entry: Input and update data in company systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Phone & Email Communication: Answer incoming calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Mail Handling: Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- General Office Support: Assist with photocopying, scanning, and faxing documents as needed. Support other departments with administrative tasks.
- Scheduling Assistance: Help coordinate appointments, meetings, and events.
- Customer Service: Greet visitors and provide general office information as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some post-secondary education in business or administration is a plus.
- Experience: Previous clerical or office experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
