Drywall Installer:

Description:

Drywall installers are responsible for fitting and mounting wall and ceiling panels in residential and commercial spaces.  Some of the common duties and responsibilities of a drywall installer are:

• Measuring, cutting, and fitting drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
• Positioning and securing drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs
• Cutting and installing metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
• Applying drywall tape and compound to cover joints and smooth out imperfections
• Preparing panels for painting or finishing by sanding or priming
• Reading and following blueprints and designs
• Repairing minor dents or holes in walls
• Installing electrical wiring or light fixtures if needed

Experience:

I – 0 to 5 years

II – 5+ years
